Emmy award winning broadcaster Jean West is the Producer and Host of the area’s newest and only local programs devoted entirely to Medical and Health issues that are impacting the community.
Her daily “Jean West’s Medical Daily” segments which air inside WBKI-TV’s “The CW Louisville Live This Morning” at 10:00am and the weekly half hour “Jean West’s Medical Digest “ which airs Sunday nights at 10:30pm, have earned early critical praise from the medical community and viewers alike.
With more than 20 years experience as a former Anchor and Reporter at WHAS-TV in Louisville, Jean also has international broadcast experience as a Reporter and Anchor for the Far East Network in Japan. Her reports have appeared on National Public Radio and ABC’s “Prime Time Live”. Jean’s new ventures also allow her to consult with companies and education outlets on issues involving media, and educational Information strategy and dissemination.
A graduate of Southern University, with a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of California, Davis, Jean and husband Attorney Michael Losavio have three sons.
